On the 13th of August the team of Kirov High-End went to the city of Erlangen, Germany, to see how the small family company Clearaudio manufacture the most prestigious and advanced turntables in the world!
Situated in a beautiful pine forest, the factory radiates the spirit of diligence and professionalism. At the main entrance is even hoisted the Bulgarian flag. When entering the building the first thing you can see at the top of the stairs is a big painting of Clearaudio newest turntable – the Concept – winner of the prestigious Red Dot 2010 design award. Following its name the turntable hosts a magnetic bearing (!) Innovative tonearm and is one of the easiest turntables ever to set up – the only thing you need to do is just connect it to the system and play the record. All adjustments are made precisely at the factory.
It was a bit difficult for us to count the number of the many prestigious awards hanged on the walls of the factory. We will give a little hint about how strong Clearaudio’s Research and Development department is – right after the launch of the new Concept Turntable, Clearaudio was awarded for it with What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision award 2009 - PRODUCT OF THE YEAR!

All Clearaudio components are developed and manufactured in the factory in Erlangen. Furthermore 85% of them are even hand built, such as the Cartridges, the Tonearms, the Bearing, the motors, all electronic components, the chassis and had passed series of tests and examinations until the last detail is perfected, which is the strongest proof for highly professional and stable craftsmanship.
The Team of Clearaudio shows real passion and love for music - this is obvious when you see and most importantly hear their flagship masterpiece turntable – The Statement.  A true embodiment of analogue industry that hosts the most advance technologies ever integrated in turntable. At first the idea comes as to built the best turntable in the world, no matter the retail price. After showing the new 350 kg turntable with retail price of 100 000 € at the High-End Show in Munich, Clearaudio receives 11 orders during the show. Today there are more than 75 Statement turntables in the world.
